Captain Crais was the commanding officer of a Peacekeeper Command Carrier.
The carrier's mission was and still is to track down and capture Moya and
her crew. At one time Crais was a proud officer of Peacekeeper Command and one of the finest Captains in the fleet. That all changed when the human John Crichton arrived. During an attempt to prevent a group of prisoners from escaping Crais' brother was killed in an accidental collission with Crichton's ship. It was in that moment that Crais lost all control and his soul filled with rage and obsession. He would stop at nothing to track down Moya so that he could re-capture the prisioners and take his |

revenge on Crichton for his brother's death.
His dark desire to kill Crichton soon consumed him and caused him to commit acts that would be considered wrong and extreme, even by Peacekeeper standards. He jeopardized the safety of his ship and it's crew, he killed his first officer, and he disobeyed direct orders from Command Central. In the end, he never got his revenge on Crichton and he lost his career in the Peacekeepers at the hands of Scorpious. With his career over and the threat of a court martial hanging over him, Crais did the only thing he could to save him self. He joined with his enemy, Moya and her crew. Although his presence on the ship was not a welcomed one it did become apparent that if the crew was going to escape the Peacekeepers then they would need his help. He and Crichton were able to come to an understanding regarding the bad blood between them. Although he may never forgive Crichton for the death of his brother he has put it behind him. In the end Crais proved to be serving his own purposes and to prove that point he abducted Moya's new born child. Now the question hangs in the air as to weather Crais will be a friend or a foe to the crew of Moya. |

| Clearly an awkward situation. | I understand you didn't mean to kill my brother. It was an accident; I realize that now, as I look back and try to understand it all. |
